Activities
Our center offers a variety of activities available such as: high ropes course, 150m zip line, lake, sports fun court (soccer, basketball, handball, hockey, volleyball, etc), beach volley ball court.
It is also a great location from which to go walking, hiking, jogging and mountain biking.
Our center is ideally situated in the Carpathian and Transylvanian mountains of Romania. The Bucegi Mountain ranges, Piatra Caiului National Park, as well as Moldoveanu Peak (Romania’s highest mountain – 2544m) are all within close proximity of our center, making it a great place from which to experience the beauty of God’s creation within Romania.
Bran Castle (Dracula Castle):
Just 17 km from the PdF Center, in the direction of Bran, you can visit the Bran Castle. You can visit different rooms: Guard Room, Prince Mircea Chapel, Queen Mary’s Bedroom, Costume Hall, Queen Maria Library and many more.
Râsnov Fortess:
The Castle in Râsnov was the refuge of the inhabitants of Râsnov. It was built in the 14th century, in recent years it has been renovated and partially rebuilt. In the upper part of the castle is a museum and a few small shops. It has a beautiful view from the highest point of the castle.
Peles Castle:
You can reach the Peles Castle in less than an hour by car, this gives you the opportunity to admire a vast collection of paintings, sculptures, armors, carpets, furniture, upholstery in 170 rooms .
The Saxon fortified churches:
Close to PdF are some of the most impressive fortified churches in Transylvania (eg Tartlau, Honigberg). In the castles and villages, once built by the German minority of Transylvanian, you can experience the past. Some of these fortified churches are even UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
The “Cheile Rasnoavei” Canyon:
The Canyon is just 3 km far from the Predeal – Râsnov road, at Râşnoavei Gorge. Cheile Rasnoavei offers a lot of different things. Whether you like nature, passionate hikes or extreme sports: impressive terrain, marked mountain trails, climbing, bungee jumping with 150 meters free fall, the Canyon offers all this things.
The Ski Area “Poiana Brasov”:
Just 18 km far from the PdF Center, you can visit the Poiana Brasov Ski Area.
Regardless of the season, here you have a lot of options – from mountain hikes to the Postavaru massif and the surrounding area, discovering the numerous marked trails, to the ski slopes of varying degrees of difficulty.
Cave close to Râsnov:
About 1.5 km from the town of Rasnov you can visit a cave which has a total length of about 958 m, a large hall over 20 m and several secondary galleries of different sizes.
